Kyrano pays his half brother a visit.

Author's note: Well, I decided to write a little oneshot for TB - focusing on two of the most neglected characters. Well, one's not really neglected, cause he's the villain, but that's beside the point. The point is that there's no fic like this, and there should have been. This takes place about fifteen years before the start of the series. R&R.

He frowned, standing up.

Orange wasn't his colour.

No matter-he wouldn't have to worry about it too much longer anyway.

Two words he always looked forward to rang through the air.

Visiting hours.

Oh, it was a sight to see. Supposed murderers and rapists sobbing, crying, giving mournful looks to their loved ones.

It was shameful.

And quite entertaining.

Was the warden looking at him now?

Skepticism was his first reaction. He hadn't had a visitor in quite some time.

And who did he see when he approached the glass wall?

His brother.

No. Half-brother.

He sat down, his eyes cold. Kyrano looked almost unfazed.

"Good morning, Belah Gaat." Only he would use his full name. He sneered.

"What a surprise, Kyrano. And to think I thought you had no courage." His voice dripped of disgust.

Kyrano shook his head. "Merely no time. It's hard raising a child." His tone was measured; if he knew how this infuriated his half-sibling, he ignored it.

"But of course, you handle it." Belah spoke like mercury - quickly, smoothly, and with poison. Kyrano nodded.

"I do." Behind the glass wall, he smirked.

"Just as I can handle this. You'd be a fool to think I won't escape here, you know." The younger man nodded.

"I know." He seemed to accept the fact, his eyes thoughtful.

"Do you?" The smirk widened. "I don't think you comprehend this life, dear brother." Kyrano appeared almost questioning at that.

"I don't understand." The smirk turned gleeful.

"I think you should. We're alike, you and I. Two sides of the same coin. In the end, we will see where your heart lies." The statement rang through the air for a moment before a reply came out.

"No." Two sets of brown eyes met sharply.

"I will never be like you." His voice let out softly, his frame standing up.

"Goodbye, Belah." He let out over his shoulder.

"Goodbye, dear brother." He smiled peacefully as his half-brother left.

He was a fool.

But a valuable one - just think, he even had a daughter now...

The possibilities were endless.

With a smile, he returned to his cell to continue his work.

Yes, Kyrano would prove valuable indeed.
